FAKE BROKER STEAL MONEY !
This weekend TD Ashi*atrade had a glitch where it doubled certain orders on 2/12/21, this resulted in many people that don't have 25k breaking the PDT rule including me. After waiting on the phone for over two hours they happily told me that it was on my end. I asked about the glitch and the customer service guy acted like it didn't happen and that thousands of people are on hold as we spoke because of the same problem. Thanks to this being about the 6th time iv had to contact them with problems and they always say it on my end I will be slowly closing all my position/account with them. This is hands down the worst broker I have ever used they constantly lag and fill orders late. They freeze the market almost twice every week at open then say it's too much data usage causing a bottleneck. I really would not suggest this broker to my anyone. If you have seen the old Dave Chappelle skit on how to treat customers, that is their customer service. I highly recommend webull to use if you choose a free broker! This is my unbiased opinion after almost a year of using them!! RATING -✰✰✰✰✰ (negative five stars)

These people are scammers and will keep everything you deposit with them. Stay well clear, all thanks to
official debts reclaim. Net for helping me get back my all.
We moved an IRA from Discover Bank to TD Ameritrade in 2020, I configured the on-line account so our statements would be emailed and not paper mailed to minimize potential security problems if a mailed paper statement was accidentally delivered to the wrong address.
Regardless that I configured our on-line account correctly, we still receive paper statements.
I spoke with two first-line TD Ameritrade representatives on: 3/12/21,4/13/21, each time after I received the paper statements. Both representatives promised to resolve but they did not.
On 5/19/21, I spoke with Matthew Slamp, Supervisor, who promised to resolve, and to email me by 5/21/21 with a status update for a resolution, which he never did.
On 6/8/21 I received another paper statement.
I Googled the corporate office for a corporate phone number to escalate this issue to corporate, but the number in their website *******856 tells the caller to call their 1-800 number.
I called their 1-800 number and asked to speak with someone from corporate HQ, I was forwarded to "Austin" ext # 220074 who does ‘not' work for corporate HQ. I then asked Austin to forward me to someone in their corporate HQ, I was forwarded to "Hestor (Hector?) Hurst", Client Supervisor, who told me he did not work in corporate either. When I asked Mr. Hurst to forward me to corporate he refused.
I am not certain why I should maintain any accounts with TD Ameritrade after 1) not being able to have statements emailed to me, 2) engaging with representatives who make false promises, 3) engaging with representatives who do not follow up with customer issues, 4) engaging with representatives who refuse to allow customers to escalate legitimate concerns to corporate.
I saw reviews about online and started investing with them, everything was fine at first until they stop paying me, I spoke to support but they had no explanation for months, leaving me stranded. Had a conversation with a good lawyer off globalreclaimai. Co that handled my case and I have been able to get most of my investments back.
I was going to write a rather nasty review because of the way they are keeping my $ from me but everyone else beat me to it + they dont care enough to claim the account so whats the point of writing anymore than "FU ameritrade"..switching to interactive brokers and hoping for better service
Misleading advertising, poor service, no communication, can't get my money back don't use them or you may regret it
They should be on that meeting with Robinhood. They allow to buy GME,however restrict selling of covered calls. So they disabled hedging. How is it possible? It is illegal and discriminatory! They are playing on Wallstreet side and should be punished for this
I will definitely report them!

I've had an account with TD Ameritrade for several years now and have always had great customer service, until recently, when I put money in and bought some stocks. Granted it wasn't a lot, but it was something I was planning to continue buying over time. Consequently, I put more money in my account and tried to purchase more of the stock. I tried several times over a weeks time to purchase additional stock with my settled funds and they canceled my order every time (over 12 times in fact). As a result, I have tried to withdraw the settled funds from my account, several times and they will not transfer my funds so I could buy the stock somewhere else. I still haven't received my money. Additionally, I've sent them an email and received no response, nor have they communicated with me regarding this matter. Folks, I must warn you, this isn't normal for TD Ameritrade and I fear something is wrong as they also don't show a record of a purchase I made, which I captured screen shots of as evidence. Please be very careful putting any large sums of money in TD Ameritrade, as they are in a position to tie your funds up while your stocks climb higher without you.

I liked TD Ameritrade until they doubled my trade. I bought 2000 shares of a security, sold it a few minutes later after reaping profits (and the price had just started dropping), and a minute later (unbeknownst to me) they submitted a duplicate buy order.
I noticed that my day gain, which WAS green, was rapidly becoming very red. I quickly looked at my open positions and realized that I somehow had 2000 shares remaining. "WTF?! I only bought 2000, which I just sold!" To stop the hemorrhage, I hastily sold these remaining shares, at a $2500 loss, and looked at my transaction history. I then discovered what happened.
I called them and, after 90 minutes on hold, I spent another hour trying to get them to fix THEIR screwup, but they refused to admit fault. When I politely told the supervisor that this was unacceptable and that I will find a different broker, he hung up on me.
Sad day when I'm being restricted in what I can buy or sell. I'm also a bit suspicious when I can't log in because of internal issues. When I can log in I'm down several hundred. Sad sad sad
I'll be joining the Class Action Suit as well! Today I attempted to put in limit sell orders twice, and each time they automatically closed the entire position. ABSOLUTE ROBBERY. How is this even allowed? I'm sickened by this! Please, if you're reading this, DO NOT open an account with this fraudulent company.
I have been a client for nearly a decade but will be pulling my money from this fraud of a company as soon as I find a trustworthy replacement. They flat out STOLE money from their clients like me who purchased shares of AMC/GME. I just waited on hold for 2 hours to be told I have to call their trade resolutions desk tomorrow. They froze shares so the only possible outcome was for these stocks that their clients own to tank. You know why? Because the big boys told them to. I'll be joining the class action law suit against them shortly. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD OF A COMPANY.
